Membership

Annual Meeting 2024.

Any Mount Holyoke alum who has added a primary (or secondary) address in Northern California* to their Alum Directory profile automatically becomes an Active Member. Alums are defined by the Alum Association as any “graduate or non-graduate, who attended Mount Holyoke for at least a year, or any recipient of a graduate degree from Mount Holyoke College.”

Active Membership is not required to attend Club events. Unless otherwise specified, our events are open to all alums, current students, and other MHC community members in the area. Active Members are encouraged (but not required) to get involved with and/or make a financial contribution to the Club. Many of our alums have generously paid their dues for life, and we greatly appreciate their support!

We often collaborate on and cross-promote events with the MHC Pen Club, which serves alums living in the region from San Mateo County to Monterey County. Some of our Bay Area alums have opted to receive newsletters and social media updates from both Clubs, and we encourage alums to attend NorCal and Pen Club events.

*By default, this excludes alums in the Mount Holyoke Club of the Peninsula, but Pen Club members are welcome to connect with the NorCal Club on social media and/or opt in to our newsletter by adding a secondary address in San Francisco (or any Californian city north of it) to their Alum Directory profile.
