Dear fellow alums,
As 2022 comes to a close I am reflecting back on how great it was to be able to offer in-person events again, as well as continuing with our successful virtual events like our bi-monthly book club and the Barabara Creed SCOTUS sessions. Alums met up to walk their dogs together, celebrate Mary Lyon, visit an art studio and most importantly eat ice cream!
For 2023 we will continue with the hybrid of in-person and virtual events and have offerings such as:
- Bi-monthly book club – Join us for reading, learning, and community as we discuss books by BIPOC authors.
- Annual Lunar New Year Cook Along
- Hikes around the Bay Area (with & without dogs)
- Attend Women’s collegiate sporting events around NorCal (UC Berkeley, Sac State, Stanford)
- Recent alum events
- BIPOC alum events
- and more!
Are there events, programs, and resources you would like to see the club offer, or any you may wish to offer? Email us or fill out this form to get started. It helps us understand the types of programming that our membership enjoys. A board member will support you to bring your idea to fruition. OR, you can join our board directly and be involved with year round club events and connecting with local alum. You can learn more about us here, or email us.
Pay Your Dues
Many thanks to those of you who have already paid your dues and/or become lifetime members. Your annual dues payments and donations enable our volunteer-run club to host a diverse slate of events and programs throughout the year. Dues pay for renting event venues, food and beverages when applicable, guest speakers, creating and sending care packages to local first-year and transfer students, offsetting costs of certain events, subsidizing costs for those who normally wouldn’t attend because of lack of funds, and much more.
If you want to pay membership dues for the 2022-2023 year or become a Lifetime Member, please do so here: MHC Club of Northern CA Membership Dues. If you prefer to pay by check, please email us. Additionally, if your company offers corporate matching or incentives for volunteering or being a part of a non-profit organization, we are happy to work with them to find ways to financially support our club.
Thank you for being a part of the NorCal Mount Holyoke community. Best wishes for a safe and healthy holiday season. I look forward to seeing you in 2023.
Warmly,
Katie Wynen (she.her) ’05
Club President
